There are four debutantes in our line-up this week and only the second player this season to make our fab five for a second time.
Hayden Lescault (Glasgow Rocks)
Our first rookie comes in the form of the Rocks’ guard who has had an impressive start to his career in Glasgow. Lescault grabs his first berth off the back of a blistering seven of nine shooting performance against Sheffield, which harvested him 16 points. He also fell just short of a fine double-double by handing out nine assists, as well as contributing five rebounds and three steals.
Tyler Bernardini (Leicester Riders)
Having racked up the best performance efficiency valuation of the entire season during Week 4, Bernardini has continued his rich vein of form and managed to make it back-to-back appearances. The guard sunk a spectacular seven of eight triple attempts against Leeds Force to score 25 points, as well as adding two assists and two steals.
Josh Fox (Cheshire Phoenix)
The forward finds himself in our line-up for the first-time after a terrific display for Cheshire Phoenix in the match-up against Worcester Wolves. Fox corralled a fine haul of 21 points and did so by shooting a lethal 71% from the field. He only missed out on a double-double by a single rebound, while completing a fine night of work with two assists and a steal.
Orlan Jackman (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle)
The British forward cements his first starting five spot of the season in style after posting the best performance efficiency valuation of the weekend in the first of his team’s double-header against Plymouth Raiders. Jackman was on fire at Sport Central as he netted 32 points - showing his shooting range with seven scores from downtown. He also came close to a double-double with nine boards.
Andy Thomson (Leicester Riders)
It’s also a first appearance of the new campaign in our Weekly All-Star Five for the Riders’ forward, although he is no stranger to the accolade from previous seasons. In keeping with this week’s themes, Thomson also lit it up from behind the three-point line with five triples en-route to 20 points against Flyers. Meanwhile he also just missed out on a double-double with nine rebounds.
Off the bench – Marek Klassen (Worcester Wolves), Daryl Corletto (Plymouth Raiders), Kai Williams (London Lions), Chaz Rollins (Surrey Scorchers), Rashad Hassan (London Lions), Rahmon Fletcher (Esh Group Eagles Newcastle), Donte Nicholas (Plymouth Raiders).
