BBL All Star Five - Week 17

Posted on BBL Media

This week’s line-up sees another debut slot handed out, as well as a player who racked up one of the best performance efficiency valuations of the entire season.

Aaron Cosby (Bristol Flyers)
It’s a first ever appearance in our fab five for the Flyers guard after he lit it up on BBC Sport last Friday as Bristol collected a huge win on the road at London Lions. Cosby was on fire from long-range at the Copper Box and dropped six triples on his way to 27 points. He also garnered four rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Danny Huffor (Worcester Wolves)
With a brilliant performance efficiency valuation of 37 points, Huffor not only came up with the best display of the weekend in the win against Scorchers, but also one of the most impressive of the 2016-17 campaign. He torched Surrey with 27 points and had an all-action seven rebounds, seven assists and a superb six steals.

Earl Brown (Cheshire Phoenix)
There was joy for the locals at the Cheshire Oaks Arena as Phoenix jumped into the Semi-Finals of the BBL Trophy with a big win against Bristol Flyers. Brown was at the heart of the success after coming up with a fine double-double against the in-form visitors. He corralled 29 points and also did some nice work on the glass to collect 10 boards.

Jermel Kennedy (Worcester Wolves)
While his Wolves team-mate takes the headlines in this week’s line-up, Kennedy was not far behind Huffor in terms of an excellent performance efficiency valuation. He was similarly effective against Scorchers with 24 points from a scorching 10 of 12 from the floor and added to a nice night of work with seven rebounds and five assists.

Anton Grady (Plymouth Raiders)
It’s been a hugely productive month for the Raiders’ forward, who continues to establish himself as one of the leading frontcourt stars in the league. Grady helped Plymouth to continue their eye-catching season with a massive double-double to deny Leeds Force in a hard-fought win. He wowed the fans at the Pavilions with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Off the bench - Neil Watson (Glasgow Rocks), Jermaine Sanders (Leeds Force), Rashawn Rembert (DBL Sharks Sheffield), Dii'Jon Allen-Jordan (Cheshire Phoenix), Rob Marsden (Leeds Force), Zaire Taylor (London Lions), Daryl Corletto (Plymouth Raiders).
