Rocks wrap up weekend with productive win double

BBL Championship

Glasgow Rocks 111-57 Leeds Force (22-9, 51-28, 82-41)

It’s been an enjoyable 48 hours for Tony Garbelotto and his players after Rocks posted back-to-back victories at the Emirates Arena.

Although unlike Friday’s hard-fought success against BBL leaders Esh Group Eagles Newcastle, the Rocks were able to make it league win number seven in absolute comfort after an eye-popping start against Leeds.

Leading scorers – Brown 31, Billups 16, Josephs 16 (Rocks) Nix 19, Curth 11, Toluwase 8 (Force)

Turning point – There wasn’t one after the home side netted the opening 19 points of the contest in a scorching start that set the tone for the remainder of the night.

Key stat – There was a huge discrepancy in accuracy from two-point range, with Rocks going 58% and Force suffering an abject 26%.

Game hero(es) – Earl Brown produced one of the best performances of the entire BBL season with 31 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
