Scorchers finish strong to see off Raiders.

Plymouth Raiders 80-85 Surrey Scorchers (25-17, 46-38, 61-61)

Surrey Scorchers overcame a slow start to claim a win on the road against Plymouth Raiders.

The home side looked in control at half-time, but fell to their second loss on the weekend as they drop to a 4-7 record.

Leading scorers – Penn 20, Adekoya 15, Watson 14 (Raiders) - Williams 25, Hicks 16, Ogedengbe 11 (Scorchers)

Turning point – Plymouth made a bright start, leading by as many as 14 in the first half, but Surrey came out firing in the third with an 11-0 run to take the lead. It came down to the final period and the visitors put together a crucial 9-2 run before securing the win.

Key stat – The Scorchers found success inside as they shot 64% with over half of their points coming in the paint.

Game hero - Jordan Williams was key for the Scorchers with 25 points and 10 rebounds in the win after going 12-of-16 from the field.
